The Standard of Excellence; An Education for Life
The Atlanta Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association, Incorporated strengthens the bonds of loyalty and enthusiasm alumni have with Hampton University, and provides meaningful engagement opportunities for all Hamptonians to be involved with the institution and stay connected with each other.
Hampton graduates have a long history of maintaining an engaging relationship with their alma mater. Alumni often devote t heir time and talent to the institution and expand Hampton’s reach by uplifting Hampton in their communities.
Volunteer leaders serve an especially important role at Hampton by leveraging their influence. Alumni recruit prospective students, help solicit scholarship gifts, provide career advice, mentor young professionals and cheer on Hampton Piratres athletic teams.
Across the globe, alumni also network and maintain their connections with Hampton through their classes and through the NHAA, Inc. geographic chapters.
- Actively participates in recruitment efforts to encourage students to attend Hampton University.
- Supports university academic and athletic programs and performances that occur near the metropolitan Atlanta area.
- Engages in efforts to generate funds to provide scholarships to Georgia students.
- Encourages all Hamptonians to affiliate with the local chapter and actively participate in chapter activities, including but not limited to the student mentoring partnership.
- Collaborates with other civic organizations to promote experiences that improve the quality of life for citizens within metropolitan Atlanta.
